Oculus is a very quiet, very reclusive person who genuinely does not like his job. He doesn't talk about it but it appears to be very hard on him.

He roams the crossroads to make sure that no one wanders around them that shouldn't be there, and people LOVE to roam around looking for spirit companions since its easier than hunting them down elsewhere. This has annoyed him so greatly he has crafted boxes of them to give to visitors just to make them go away.
